| A18 |
Due to the recent increase in drug-related incidents the WTC is now acting in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) international standard and code for doping-related circumstances.UK IRONMAN 70.3 will be following these guidelines in ALL events from 2006 onwards. The guidelines are as follows: If an athlete's A and B sample shows positive results (or Adverse Analytical Findings) for any of the prohibited substances (S1-S5, The World Anti-Doping Code 2005 Prohibited List, International Standard) at a sporting event with a WADA-recognized testing facility, Ironman will issue a provisional suspension to the athlete beginning on the date the athlete competed and/or was drug-tested. Until a verdict between the athlete and their federation/national governing body (NGB) has been reached, the athlete will be unable to compete in any Ironman events worldwide. If an athlete is found guilty or accepts a suspension/penalty from their federation/NGB, Ironman will issue its own suspension based on WADA guidelines. For a first offence, the athlete will be suspended and ineligible for a period of two years from the date the athlete competed and/or was drug-tested. If an athlete receives a second doping offence, Ironman will issue a lifetime ban and the athlete will be ineligible to compete in any future Ironman event. (WADA Article 10.2, Sanctions on Individuals) This testing will impact professional and age group athletes and concerns the top ten male and female finishers. Prize money will be paid after the results of doping tests are announced.

| Q22 |
Will there be an IRONKIDS event at the UK IRONMAN 70.3 and IRONMAN UK 2010 events? |
| A22 |
IRONKIDS is the offical children's event that is solely licenced and fully owned by the WTC. Many global offical IRONMAN events hold IRONKIDS childrens events as part of their weekends of festivities. In previous years IRONMAN UK has held a very successful official WTC sactioned IRONKIDS event at their Dorset venue. This event has been successfully organisated and run by the IRONMANU UK Race Office team and has been enjoyed by many attending families. Due to the new 2009 IMUK venue there will be no WTC sactioned IRONKIDS event for this season. But it is hoped to re-introduced the WTC childrens IRONKIDS event for 2011 and beyond. With regard to the UK IRONMAN 70.3 event, an offical WTC sanctioned IRONKIDS event was launched and organised a number of years ago by the IRONMAN UK Race Office - but entry figures from the children were disappointingly low and so the event had to be cancelled just a matter of weeks out from race day. This was dissappointing at the time. However the IRONMAN UK Race Office may well have another try at enticing children to enter such an offical WTC childrens event, organised by the same IMUK Race Office team, at a future date. Nothing is envisaged for 2010. Maybe 2011 and beyond

| Q23 |
What sports drink will be provided on the feed stations? |
| A23 |
The sports drink provided will be Gatorade Thirst Quencher. In line with past years, Gatorade supply this drink to IRONMAN UK in a powder format. The powder will be mixed on Race Day as a 6% solution - as recommended by Gatorade - and based on Gatorade research. Gatorade themselves also attend the IMUK event each year and ensure that each IMUK Feedstation is instructed on the precise amount of powder needed to achieve this 6% solution. This hands-on Gatorade tuition is combined with a series of written instructions that are provided to each Aid Station Captain and his/her teams to ensure the Gatorade remains consistent throughout Race Day. The flavour supplied by Gatorade is usually Orange - but this can change depending on what our sponsors Gatorade supply us with.
