Refunds will be available until 1st April 2010 00:01. Prior to this date competitors will receive a partial entry fee refund - entry fee less a £50 administration fee. All withdrawals must be sent to the Race Office in writing before 1st April 2010 00:01, after this date no refunds will be given. There will be no exceptions. If you choose to withdrawal from the race the 5% Active.com transaction fee, is not refundable from Active.com.

Entries are not transferable from race to race, year to year, person to person. Written withdrawal requests should contain the following information:

- Competitors name

- Address

- Phone number

- Name of Event

- Date of Event

- Competitors signature with the date (therefore no e-mails will be accepted)

Answer to your Security Question - this will be the answer to one of 3 questions which you chose. Either Mothers Maiden name, bike brand or pets name. If you can't remember which then send all three and we will check your entry form. The answer given to the security question in your entry form is used so Race Office staff can verify your identity.

The Race Office is unable to give confirmation that your letter of withdrawal has been received, if you require a confirmation of receipt then we suggest that you send it via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.

 Refunds are credited back to the card which you originally paid with. If that card has expired then the Race Office will contat you to obtain your up to date details. Once your withdrawal has been completed you will receive an email of confirmation.

After this date: NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. The Race Office Staff are not permitted to enter into any discussion in regard to refunds.  This policy has been adopted by IRONMAN UK due to action taken by previous competitors towards IRONMAN UK Staff. Any email in regard to this policy will be forwarded a standard email response reminding you of these terms and conditions and directing you to the terms and conditions and this page.  Any further emails regarding this matter will not be responded to.

These rules are quite clear and IRONMAN UK DO NOT hide them from you in small print or a back page. This is so that all competitors are fully aware of what they are signing up for. You will have been asked to familiarise yourself with them TWICE before entering. If you do not wish to abide by this rule, PLEASE DO NOT enter the race.
