Dear IMUK 2010 Competitor With February almost upon us it will not be long before the mornings are lighter...the days are longer....and your IRONMAN UK training will be in full swing! Here in the IRONMAN UK Race Office we have a busy month of Planning mettings with the Event Partners such as the Police, local Councils, Rotary Charity groups and such like! All our Partners are working hard alongside us to ensure everything is in place come August 2010. Every day we receive e-mails into the Race Office and we respond to these daily. Many of these e-mails tend to ask similar questions so we hope that the info below will answer all such questions - and point you to the relevant areas on the event website. - The swim is a mass start as usual. All details regarding the swim, bike and run courses have been fully available since the event was opened for entries and can be found by clicking HERE - For those of you who cannot remember if they booked Party Party or Awards Ceremony tickets (FOC for Competitors or payable for Guests) you can check all such info by using the link provided in your orginial Entry Confirmation e-mail. - For those of you who cannot remember which Familirisation Camp they booked you can check this info using the link from your original Confirmation Entry e-mail. - Please note that, as per the website, no race packs of info are posted out prior to race day. All your race numbers, swim caps, athlete security writbands, timing chips etc are all issued to you when you attend the race venue for Registration. Full dates, times and location of Registration are available on the Race Week Schedule on the event website. Click HERE for Race Week Schedule - For those of you who are new to IRONMAN racing and are not sure how the Registration proceedure works. There is a section on the event website dedicated to 'walking and talking ' you through this proceedure so you can see what you need to achaive and how much time you may need to allow yourself for this part of your pre-race preperations. This will show you what race day plans, proceedures and logistics are in place for you. It will provide you with all the info you need to ensure that everything is in place for you - leaving you to concentrate on your racing!
